Neem oil Shampoo for Lice Treatment

NEEM Oil- Kills Lice (No more itching of scalp like a retard)
Not only does it look funny but also disgusting to see anyone itching their scalp like a lunatic! The use of that narrow comb to take out those creepy insects out of our hair…The days are gone..yet the tradition of application of Neem oil to kill those tiny pesky monsters remain intact..

Neem…..any-day is a far better alternative to any possible chemical product on earth…reason is simple….
It is non-toxic……
Eco-friendly……..
Child-friendly…….
need I say more? Okay I anyway will..

And you what….! It is SAFE…like I always keep howling..I mean consider this..it is safe enough even for people suffering from asthma and eczema….
Hmm….wondering HOW neem fights the problem of lice?

Here’s how it does..
I wont that neem instantly fixes the problem of lice but yes…it does what other alternatives take ages to fight…in a far quicker manner..
The use of neem oil…or even its shampoo fights the growth of lice, in a way acts as a deterrent to their re-birth……… and leaves the hair soft and nourished because of its various goody-goody properties..

You know the oil is such…that even regular use of it on children wont do even a single harm to the texture…growth of their hair…infact it would enhance it accentuate the beauty of it..

You know there’s this kinda funny science involved in neem oil fighting lice…See…Neem Oil contains substances which replicate insect hormones which are called ‘ecdysones’. These ecdysones generate ‘mixed messages’ to the head lice, deteriorating their feeding.. breeding and metamorphosis…..Even the unhitched eggs are also affected… stifling them from developing….
This even tends to avoid the development of resistance in future generations….

When neem is made to encounter..it kills their will to live…and they get to lethargic to even perform the basic functions required for an organism to live……hance…our problem is sorted..
You know these lice…in a way are parasites…because they depend on sucking our blood for their living (tiny vampires!)
Well…they flourish in an atmosphere that is rather warm….and moist…(what better place than our scalp in summers!)
Surprising enough….the size of an adult louse will be the size of a sesame seed….The parasite has six tiny legs that help them for their grip and quick movement….They tend to multiply quickly and it’s difficult to eradicate them completely…..And the worst! It spreads! From one being to another…. It sucks our blood from out scalp and leaves our hair strands tormented…depleted! They get active when our hair is rather wet…damp….

Use of non-toxic anti-parasitic oil like neem can ensure its termination and retained health of the hair medium…Neem oil one such anti-parasitic oil has the capacity to control lice completely along with its nymph by the its strong smell…….Application of neem oil over the infested medium of lice makes the surface smooth and removes all itchy scratches….It also in used in combination with tea tree oil and gives far better results….

So…east or west…Neem is the ultimate enemy of lice and is the best…(Sorry I know i am horrible at it)

Natural Psoriasis Treatment with Neem Oil

Ever heard of the problem of Psoriasis? Unfortunate are the ones suffering from it…and even more of it are the ones who dont have access to the knowledge it’s easy… available…sit-at-home treatment..I am here to enlighten..

Hmm….Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease that occurs on the skin….It happens when the immune system goes nuts and starts to consider the skin cells..pathogens…and in the process sends out all sorts of absurd signals that eventually speed up the growth cycle of skin cells….As a matter of fact Psoriasis is not contagious (phew!)

Its actually a very common condition….It may affect people of any age…but it most commonly begins between ages 15 and 35..
In this skin cells grow deep in the skin and rise to the surface about once a month…In persons with psoriasis….this process is too fast (about 2 weeks instead of 4 weeks) and dead skin cells build up on the skin’s surface…it gives the skin a pathetic look..
The below given things may act as catalysts in the disease or worsen the condition..

Injury to the skin….which may include cuts…burns..and insect bites
Some medicines…including anti-malaria drugs… beta-blockers
Stress..

  • Bacteria or viral infections…including strep throat and upper respiratory   infections
  • Dry air or dry skin
  • Too little sunlight
  • Too much sunlight ( in other words any sunburn)
  • Too much alcohol

Why Neem or Neem oil is a refuge from it?
The patent of this disease is dryness and scaling….. And as a matter of fact…both of these conditions can be cured using neem….
Why?
Because….Neem oil is an the sole emollient which would carefully treat  this condition like nothing else would…
Neem oil is like a grand source of natural steroid…which cures the irritation…itchiness and redness….and this very property of neem almost instantly eliminates the trouble of patchy skin…what makes neem the best cure for this disease is its ability to enhance skin immunity and heal the skin tissues…

Neem has anti-bacterial properties….It fights the skin infections which usually builds up in the cracks of the skin…making the disease worse.

so this is how Neem cures psoriasis but yes…if you seek more effective results then…apply neem oil to the skin before going to bed….rinse it off well before leaving for outside…..Keep the skin clean…try exposing the skin to the early rays of the sun…so that it can absorb ample vitamin D….wear covered clothes….avoid contact with dirt and dust… consume turmeric…it’s anti-bacterial property and healing function enhances the curing process…

That was all…hope i made you tad more aware about this disease..so next time..be aware…be updated..

High Antioxidants Factor – Neem Oil

Neem seed oil is one extremely strong and antiseptic oil. The oil has in it the compounds that are ver sought after and together make a miraculous potion in the form of neem seed oil. The oil is actually worshipped in certain parts of the world.

Neem leaves, bark and oil are all high in antioxidants. Antioxidants are compounds in plants that reverse and prevent cell damage. Free radicals come from natural sources, such as foods and oxygen, and from unnatural sources, such as chemicals in the air and the water that we use and in the foods that we eat. According to a study conducted by Brunswick Laboratories, neem bark, leaves and oil are four to five times higher in antioxidants than -

  • Blueberries
  • Cranberries

Oil derived from neem leaves, bark and seeds has a wide range of antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, according to Agrawal. Neem oil is particularly effective for mouth and gum infections. Swish with a mild solution of neem oil and water for optimal oral health. Use neem oil topically on wounds to prevent infection during healing. And try taking a neem extract supplement or drinking neem tea to prevent bacterial infections.

The antiviral properties of neem are found in the seed oil, neem leaves and leaf oil. Neem can also help prevent dengue fever, a viral infection that is transported by mosquitoes in some tropical regions. If you have access to a neem tree, nibbling 10 to 20 of the bitter leaves in the morning can help prevent viral infections. Neem extracts are also available as supplements and neem oil is widely available in health food stores.

Neem oil has spermicidal properties. Using a cotton pad soaked in neem oil for 15 minutes before intercourse may prevent pregnancy. There is speculation that for women, eating fresh neem leaves daily may prevent contraception and for men, consuming fresh neem leaves for a month may cause reversible infertility. However, further research is required, and neem should not be relied upon for birth control or disease prevention.

Neem oil or Margosa oil is botanical oil extracted from kernel of neem tree seed by Solvent Extraction or Cold Pressing or CT Cold Pressing method. Among these methods CT cold pressing yield purest neem oil because solvent is not used for extraction.

Treating Wounds with Neem

Neem – The Wound Healer

Neem…the name itself is enough to make its place…this multi purpose herb has been and continued to be a healer in different forms to different kinds of wounds..

Don’t be surprised if your grandma discloses to you that back in your childhood when you got hurt..the green bitter smelling paste she secretly made and applied to your wound that left just that brown scab and healed the wound was nothing else but neem paste!

Because yes neem is really that old and useful in treating the wounds of toddlers and little kids running about the house like an unleashed arrow…and wait! Why just kids…any wound on anyone’s body…and yes I mean an open wound..can easily be healed using Neem water or paste..

neems has been closely studied and understood by men with lot of brains…Not just wounds are treated using the herb…but also…sprains….bruises…burns…sore throats…any kinds of infections…You name it and it has healed it..

You the qualities of this magical herb are so contrasting that sometimes one goes in a deep thought as to how that same little herb treat two things so greatly differentiating…and apart from doin git…it does it so well..and we are left wondering..like for example Neem is known to treat an unsuppurationg sore and then even a suppurating one…at the same time…just imagine!..Well frankly that is just the beginning of our amazemnt..

And to everyone’s amazemnt..Neem is highly illustrious in treating those sores or excruciating zits that pop up near the eye…though it’s pretty obvious from sense that it causes pain and inflammation to apply neem in places such delicate as near the eye..but then the quick healing it does to the sores it quite unbelievable…though I wont miss to mention that treatment anywhere near the for any trouble is a feat that can only be dont by brave-hearts…and not the craven ones…to savour the results though…it actually is very tough because the inflammation can be quite piercing and unbearable..but then the magic does happen…

Thats enough for you to know of neem’s wound healing property…have a look at our references as to how you should be preparing the paste to be applied on such wounds…have a look at these links..

Neem – The Village Pharmacy

In ancient rural India..owing to the backwardness of it..people discovered this wondrous tree called ‘Neem’…whose benefits had no end..Let me just frame the history more formally..
IT has a grand history indeed…It was back then in 1922 that archeologists from Britain stumbled across the 5000-year-old Indus Valley archaeological site in Northwestern India….There was something really unusual and uncanny that happened…as they dug deeper the explorations should have been more primitive and simple yet instead they were rather advanced to evryone’s surprise!

In the last layers of it they discovered the cities Harappa & Mohenjodaro….and the most tantalizing factor being the cities were advanced enough to compete with the cities today…I mean as far as the construction…the engineering and everything was concerned….Just imagine…right from sanitation, drainage…and even the way the houses were constructed were spectacular..hard to believe that they belonged to such an ancient period..
And they found magic burried in deep…the most magical herb Azadirachta Indica better known as Neem….And thats how we coined the word ‘Ayurveda’…the most ancient yet modern (oxymoron it is I know) medical system…and its chief tool being….nothing else but Neem

When it comes down to the medicinal properties of neem..they’re even mentioned in the most ancient of books like the Veda’s….So explicitly mentioned in the Veda’s are the benefits of Neem that nothing else holds a position higher than the amazing tree…thats how we know that the population of India…centuries ago…fearlessly used Neem for any and every ill of theirs…and hence named it ‘the village pharmacy’.

You know something that’ll draw you more towards neem is that it’s actually the chief ingredient of all blood purifiers….and even in medicines of Diabetic people… It cures..
The removal of external and internal parasites
Including-

  • Malaria
  • Fevers
  • Arthritis
  • Rheumatism
  • As an insect repellent

Though yet it is best at saving our teeth from decaying…. Dont know how many researches and studies now are staunch crusaders of the plant..

Peep In The Past – Neem

There has been an inseparable connection between neem and ayurveda. The highly antiseptic and therapeutic qualities of both of these are the reasons that there is so much demand of both of these in the world market.

Various parts of the neem tree have been used as traditional Ayurvedic medicine in India. Neem oil and the bark and leaf extracts have been therapeutically used as folk medicine to control leprosy, intestinal helminthiasis, respiratory disorders, constipation and also as a general health promoter. Its use for the treatment of rheumatism, chronic syphilitic sores and indolent ulcer has also been evident. Neem oil finds use to control various skin infections. Bark, leaf, root, flower and fruit together cure blood morbidity, biliary afflictions, itching, skin ulcers, burning sensations and pthysis.

Neem has been highly successfully against harmful fungi, parasites, and viruses. Although it can destroy these, it does not kill off beneficial intestinal flora nor produce adverse side effects.

Neem is toxic to several fungi that attack humans, including the causes of athlete’s foot and ringworm and candida, which cause yeast infections and thrush. In fact, neem extracts are some of the most powerful Antifungal plant extracts found in the Indian pharmacopia that are used for these conditions.

The compounds gedunin and nimbidol, found in the tree’s leaves, control the fungi listed above. Basing their studies on the ancient tradition of using neem to purify the air surrounding sick people, two Indian researchers found that neem smoke was successful in suppressing fungal growth and germination.

One of neem’s stronger advantages is its effect upon the skin in general. It has been most helpful in treating a variety of skin problems and diseases including psoriasis, eczema and other persistent conditions.

According to a report from the National Research Council’s Ad Hoc Panel of the Board on Science and Technology for International Development, neem preparation from the leaves or oils can be used as general antiseptics.

Because neem contains antibacterial properties, it is highly effective in treating epidermal conditions such as acne, psoriasis and eczema. It is also used for treating -

  • septic sores

  • infected burns

  • scrofula

  • indolent ulcers

  • ringworm

Stubborn warts can be cleared up when a high-quality neem product is used.Unlike synthetic chemicals that often produce side effects such as rashes, allergic reactions, or redness, neem doesn’t seem to create any of these results.

Neem Oil’s Sorcery On Acne

Neem Oil – Acne’s Enemy

Almost every friend of mine has faced the problem of acne at some or the other point of time in life…And tho’ (by God’s grace) I never faced it…but I know to quite an extent the distress it can stir in an individual…to get up every single morning and see those red hideous zits on face and you want to go back to sleep again!
If only these generations knew of nature’s bounty..no complains would’ve been voiced..
Neem…the natural…ayurvedic refuge from acne..before I let you know of its magical tricks…let me first explain what acne is…
It’s a condition of skin in which whiteheads, blackheads…..pimples and zits pop up on the skin….leaving the face smudged..

How and Why it happens?
Acne is caused of blocking/clogging of the pores on the skin..
In every pore…there’s an oil gland and a hair follicle…which is basically   responsible for providing enough moisture to the skin…
But when these oil glands start to produce surplus oil…the pores tend to get clogged and things like dirt and bacteria start to develop out of nowhere….This blockage is called a plug or comedone..
Thus we often see a kinda covering over our pores of the skin…which may either be white..called a whitehead…or black in colour…called a blackhead…
if that plug I mentioned about in the point previous to the last one…it causes the skin to swell up…there develops a sore…which may or may not be suppurating..
If the same burning sensation penetrates deep in the skin…they enlarge to form cysts…
Acne is basically a problem of swelling and inflammation…..not a problem caused by bacteria or anything…make it clear…
you know it is mainly prevalent in teenagers but even adults…infants or children fall prey to it….There even might be hormonal changes involved…and people even in their 30s and 40s may also have acne…
it can be hereditary…

Any kind of hormonal changes caused due to menstrual periods…pregnancy….birth control pills…..or even stress!
Using products with unnecessary amount of oil
Certain drugs can also cause acne
It might even occur due to high levels of humidity and sweating..
Despite the popular belief that chocolate, nuts, and greasy foods cause acne….research does not confirm this idea…tho’ yes diets high in refined sugars may be related to acne…

Neem…Here Comes Acne’s Biggest Enemy
Because Neem is anti bacterial…antifungal…Neem is naturally antiseptic and can help treat  acne to a great extent..It kills the impurities that clog our pores…it kills them clean and open…lets our skin breathe fresh…Hence the ones suffering should apply Neem paste on pimples and zits….Not only this…drinking Neem juice also helps control problem skin….

  • The antibacterial
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Antiviral
  • Antifungal
  • Antiphrastic

These qualities of neem make it a natural treatment for acne……Apply neem paste on the zits…leave it to dry for some time and wash it off…application of it without a miss for 2 weeks will make one see the visible difference..

Here’s something in store that you should go through..
